Goodbye Spokane

Well here we are at the cuff of our moving date and I'm feeling sentimental.
I'm sitting here waiting for the future to happen and it's happening before my eyes.
I'm realizing that there's nothing I can do to stop the move from happening.
Another day, another move, another change. I prefer to call it another adventure.
Thank you Spokane for all of life's happenings, I'm thankful for all of it, good, bad, sad, and happy. I've learned so much from it all. The good memories will be cherished forever and the not so pleasant ones will be taken as lessons learned and hopefully will never be made twice.
I shall miss this place so much, especially the good friends that we've been blessed with. It's amazing how many wonderful people came into our lives, made us laugh, cry together with, sitting around the fire with, work, eat, cook, and create memories with. I'm overwhelmingly happy.
Adventures wont' stop here-I have a feeling-change is definitely in the air, oh yes I feel it.
I won't be working in St. Louis in the next couple of years, but I will continue to work on different projects I've been putting on hold and will continue to shoot for fun and also to work on my travel photography-my first love.
You know what moving does for me? It forces me to look at life as the big picture-the ultimate reason why we are alive. The people that God brings into your life and the people that you picked to be in their lives and how it shapes and influence you to be the person that you are today. There's reasons for all of it and many times the reasons are unknown to us.
Moving also helps me to live life to the fullest-because you never know when you may again your favorite neighbors, eat your friend's world famous enchiladas or walk in your neighborhood park.
I will walk away from Spokane with some of life best memories. Upon reflection of it all, I still cannot believe how everything and everyone of our friends came to be... I can only thank God for every detail it all.
May God bless you all richly in all that you do, thank you for reading this far.
And remember, live is really short, live it to the fullest.
Much love always,
Suwanee
Before we leave Spokane, we wanted some photos of us in some of my favorite locations around town so I asked my friend Lacey Browne to help us and she left us incredibly breathless with her amazing talent with her camera- Thank you Lacey!
Hope you enjoy the slideshow below.

Goodbye Spokane-thank you for being so good to us!

Senior photos: Ashley
Meet Ashley, a 2012 high school senior I photographed recently. Ashley had a really fun style and a great sense of fashion, so our session felt like it was a being photographed for a fashion magazine-which I love! Ashley was beautiful, sweet, and just had the best attitude about life.

Belle Victorian Gardens Wedding: Caitlin & Jacob
A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing a very special couple, Caitlin and Jacob. Their wedding took place at the amazing venue of Pam and Larry of
Belle Victorian Gardens.
Their wedding took place outdoors and was surrounded by the most beautiful plants and flowers I have ever seen!
More importantly, I adored the love between Caitlin and Jacob--the sincere and comfortable kind of love that flows naturally between the two of them. What a great, great, great couple! I especially loved their families too, they are one of the kindest families I have ever met-thank you for making us feel so comfortable and at home with all of you-it was an honor to be there to document this special day.
Caitlin and Jacob, you two are an inspiration and I wish you both long life of happiness and blessings.
First look---my favorite moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time on their big day.
Congratulations you two---what a special couple you are.

Gonzaga University Wedding: Jenn + Jon
I first met Jenn and Jon last year. She's vivacious and full of excitement for life. Jon, however was the opposite-he was the definition of a cool, calm, and collected person. Though opposite in their personalities, they knew how to mesh and compliment each other really really well in their love for each other. It was an honor to have witnessed and documented their love. The weather on their wedding day was perfect, just like the way they love each other. Congratulations Jenn and Jon. Enjoy your time in Cabo!
Their first look, my most favorite moment right before the couple see each other for the first time on their big day.
I just love how they look so happy and giddy together in this shot!
Jenn had a smile on the entire day---doesn't she look so much like Kate Hudson? So gorgeous Jenn!
Some candid shots of the wedding party.
What a gorgeous couple.
Married!!
Congratulations you two!
Family Portraits: Green Family
We've been talking about doing a family session for sometime-but with the unpredictable weather and busy work schedule, we have had to wait. But oh how perfect the timing of the session was though! The weather cooperated, the time of day, the weather, and most importantly everyone was there and ready and excited for the session. Including little Ellie. Now, let me tell you about photographing little kiddos-most often time, I get their attention for only 10-15 minutes. But with Ellie, wow, was she a delight! She thought I was funny almost the entire shoot and kept giving me the most expressive look-Ever! What a happy little girl she is. Well, it's not hard to understand why she was such a happy little camper when having loving and wonderful parents like Ken and Shaena. Thank you all of you for coming out to play in the sunshine with me and for letting me document your precious family.
Check out Ellie's little face!! I never laughed so hard watching a little child's expresions!
