Suwanee Photography

Hi! I'm Suwanee,

and I am currently based in the North West with my handsome husband Mark. Born in Thailand with experience living and traveling all over the globe, I bring a unique perspective to my photography. My work tells the human story in a way that transcends every cultural barrier. My passion is capturing people and places in beautiful light with my camera. Whether deep in the jungles of the Borneo rain forest mingling with the Iban warriors, chasing Geisha along the serene side streets in
Kyoto, or quietly witnessing genuine love on a wedding day, I am incredibly blessed to be a part of each event. I love the moment when people see themselves as truly beautiful for the first time through my photographs. I invite you to experience the world through my camera.

Happy Birthday Markus!

October 31, 2009 • Personal

Today is his golden Birthday and I'm going to post the most special blog post EVER! He's the love of my life, one in a million, and I'm the most blessed girl in the entire universe to have him by my side to navigate through this life together....HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARKUS- I love you with all my heart---Suwanee

I love how you will do anything for me: Holding my camera bags, my tripod, go on shoots with me, and risk being on the flimsy boat so that I can get my shots...Thank you...  I love how you help me lead my subjects to the right light when I'm afraid to get close to them. I love how you love animals. I love how gently and calm you are as a person. I love how you are gently and kind to people no matter who they are. I love that you are a compassionate person. Ilove that you are a passtionate person and passionately love your motorcycle. I love our motography trips and willingly stop at any location for me to take pictures. I love that you are your own person. Not aftraid one bit to be different. I love that you don't care that I'm embarrassed by your cowboy hats.  I love that the world's pressures to fit in can not conform or influence your beliefs. I love that you love to travel. I love traveling with you the most.I love seeing the world with you. I love this self-timed picture of us in Hong Kong and didn't care that people were starring at us...I love sharing my life with you. I love how Nova loves you more than she loves me. I'm so proud of you. I love how you always make me laugh. And always know how to make me laugh even when I'm really mad at you....I love how are not perfect. But together we will walk this life together.  I love you from the second I saw you. And I will love you for the rest of my life. Though we are apart for your special birthday, this is my way of telling you how much I love, miss you and can not wait until we see each other again soon. With all my love- Suwanee

Katie + Ryan : Olympia, Washington Wedding

October 30, 2009 • Weddings

Did I ever mentioned that I love second shooting? I'm completely to shoot creatively and not feel the pressure of the being the main photographer. I've shot with several amazing photographers and have had incredible second shooters for my own weddings as well. It's fun to switch rolls every so often. Here's a wedding I second shot in Olypia, Washington: Lighting was beautiful and the couple was just as beautiful-Meet Katie and Ryan:

Love this shot of the bride-so sweet and beautiful.
Love this last shot--tender moment... main photographer of the wedding: Susan of www.whimsicalphotodesign.com

There are lots more sessions waiting to be posted-stay tuned as I have some incredible posts coming up soon....Ciao!
